Education is of vital importance in pursuing models of development that would respect and nurture the natural environment. It needs to foster values and attitudes of respect for the environment and envisage creative ways of doing so. Social justice and the fight against poverty need to be seen as key principles of a development that is sustainable.

The Young Visionary 2007: Stakeholders in Sustainability is an initiative to help students understand the relationship between man and nature, reconciling economic development with the integrity of the environment. As we seek positive change for ourselves and our society, we must do it in ways that respect the right of all to do so. The festival is designed to integrate the values inherent in sustainable development into all aspects of learning, to encourage changes in behavior that allow for a more sustainable and just society for all.

Over 3000 students from Private and Government Schools in Delhi, along with rural and tribal students from across the country will participate in this three day event, to understand the values inherent in sustainable development.

A platform to empower young people from different socio-economic backgrounds and unite then in a common cause. Our vision of integration is possible only through an active public private partnership, to which we are committed.
